She was predeceased by: her husband L. J. Darder; her daughter-in-law Patricia Young; her parents, Max Purghan and Lula Hemmenway Purghan; and her siblings, Max Purghan, Wynona Peveto and Norma White.

She is survived by: her children, William E Young Jr. (Lynn Dietz) of Colmesneil Texas, Denise Otero of Lufkin, Vince Darder (Twyla) of Colmesneil and Courtney Darder; her niece Patty Sue Smith; her grandchildren, Lisa Breaux (Dwayne), Debbie Hazelbaker (Scott), Patrick Darder (Andrea), Gregory Gatlin (Michelle) and Garrett Darder (Kennedy); her great grandchildren, Alex Breaux, Lauren Brady, Kaylee Breaux, Casey May, Brandon Hazelbaker, Emily Hazelbaker, Hayden Darder and Kaydence Darder; her great great grandchildren, Alyssa Breaux and Olivia Breaux; and her daughter Kathryn Collins. She is also survived by her children, and numerous nieces and nephews.
