It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Larry Gene Tomplait of Port Acres, Texas, born in Port Arthur, Texas, who passed away on March 24, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Eunice Vice Tomplait and Vencia Joseph Tomplait; his brothers, Lee Roy Tomplait, Curtis Tomplait and James Tomplait, Sr.; and his pet Lucky Boy.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Oneeta Tomplait of Port Acres; his children, Sherry Jackson of Port Acres, Terry Wuenschel (Keith) of Fannett and Susan Garcia (Eric) of Port Acres; his grandchildren, Brittany Hilgemeier, Shelby Giganti (Michael), Billy Jackson, Jr. (Bailey), Wade Wuenschel, Rebecca Robertson (Quade), Megan Baird (Samuel), Alyssa Garcia (Braelyn Collier) and Kayla Sherley (Bryce Tubbs); and his great grandchildren, Emily, Olivia, Jensen, Liam, Adler and Ivy. He is also survived by other great grandchild on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was a member of St. Theresa, the Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church in Port Acres where he donated his time to the church by helping maintain the grass.
