He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Joyce Sonnier Hanks; his children, Rita Presley (Gary) of DeRidder, Robert Hanks (Susan) of Groves, Mary Hanks of Port Arthur, Charles Hanks (Denise) of Vidor and Nancy Bernard of Nederland; his brother Lester Hanks of Midland, Louisiana; his grandchildren, Brian Hanks, Gary Hanks, Michael Hanks, Jennifer Jackson, David Hanks, Kelsey Hanks and Jessica Bernard; and his great grandchildren, Austin Hanks, Madalyn Lindley, Beaux Lindley, Sara Lindley, Tommy Arnold, Debbie Arnold and Katie Arnold.
