With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Weldon Russell Thomas of Ponder, Texas, born in Abilene, Texas, who passed away on February 28, 2023 at the age of 59. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his parents, Weldon Thomas and Linda Thomas (Lucas); his wife Laneva Carol Kiker of Ponder; his sons, Robert Thomas (Emily), Charles Thomas (Victoria) of Ponder, Russell Thomas (Serena) of Baird and Preston Widdows (Crystal) of Arlington; and his brother Richard (Marie). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
