We are sad to announce that on April 27, 2022, at the age of 16, Sawyer Kate Mulkey of Ponder, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her grandfather Robert J. Mulkey. She is survived by: her pets, Lilo, Georgia and Otis; her parents, Anise Mulkey of Ponder and Matthew Mulkey of Argyle; her siblings, Charlie Bruce (Preslie Box) of Little Elm and Harper Mulkey (Mason Harwell) of Ponder; her grandparents, Wayne, Charlsa Northcutt of Krum and Louise Mulkey of Panhandle; her aunts and uncles, Tracy (Tim Zimmerman), Trey (Jacqueline Northcutt), Steven (Sara Hightower), Whitney (Kyle Ball) and Jeremy (Mande Mulkey); and her cousins, Hanna Zimmerman of Ponder, Cecily, Joseph Northcutt of Ponder, Robert, Ashley, Rilee, Carysn, Jake Hightower of Amarillo, Hudson Ball of Amarillo and Caitlyn Mulkey of Amarillo. She is also survived by loving family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to Texas Cares Cat Adoption and Rescue.

“There are no words now or ever that will make sense or take your pain away. Parents should never bury a child. I have lived this first hand since I lost a sister. Years later there will be days where you are angry thinking of what Sawyer didn’t have the chance to do. It is normal to feel that. My daughter played a short season with Sawyer since Covid hit but Francesca did enjoy her time together. We will continue to pray not just today and tomorrow she will be on our pray list. God Bless.”
