He was predeceased by: his parents, J. T. Borchardt and Margaret Jones Borchardt; his wife Jonita; and his siblings, Luther Borchardt, Freddy Borchardt, Amanda Walker, Shirley Griffith and Peggy Borchardt.
He is survived by: his children, Elaine Borchardt, Joan Padgett (David) and Eric Borchardt (Angela); and his grandchildren, Eric Padgett, Coleby Borchardt, William Borchardt, Lindsey Harvey, Rheagan Swanson and Bryce Borchardt. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
