With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wendell Turner Sr. of Pollok, Texas, born in Gilmer, Texas, who passed away on November 8, 2021 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyrrol Turner (Thornton) and Hardy Hopson Turner; his wife Virginia Turner (McGill); his stepdaughter Jan McGill; and his siblings, Quilla Stipp and Weldon Reed Turner.
He is survived by: his significant other Dottie Thompson of Lufkin; his son Wendell; his daughter-in-law Deidra Turner of Pollok; his stepdaughter Theresa Norman of Humble; his grandchildren, Raegan Sowell, Cole Turner, Leonard Tuttle, Mark Tuttle, Edith Lawerense, Charmin Bryan, Nathan Norman and Lucas Norman; and his brother-in-law Bill Stipp of San Antonio. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
