He was predeceased by: his parents, Lena Dameron and Robert "Bob" Dameron; his daughter Brandy McKinley; and his stepfather Bill Cahill. He is survived by: his son Robby Dameron (Kim) of Houston; his stepson Mark Rhodes of Lufkin; his grandchildren, Jacob, Julia, Jenna and Beka; his stepgrandchildren, Cassey, Belissa, Robin, Shawnie, Nicole and Micah; his siblings-in-law, Bonnie Cravey of Zavalla and Larry Dykes of Zavalla; and his wife Marzellia "Markie" Dameron. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
