With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Grace Kennerly Varnado of Pollok, Texas, born in Lufkin, Texas, who passed away on December 23, 2023 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Selwin Kennerly and Lela Hensley; her husband Herman Varnado; her son Winfred Earl Lewis, Jr.; her siblings, Loye Kennerly, Clyde Kennerly, Carrie Davis and Sedalia Kennerly; and her granddaughter Carla Lewis Poage.
She is survived by: her daughter DeeDee Bates; her son-in-law Garland Bates of Pollok, TX; her son Dr. Carlton; her daughter-in-law Nina Lewis of Pollok, TX; her son Clifford; her daughters-in-law, Tammie Lewis of Pollok, TX and Susan Lewis of Pollok, TX; her son Kirk; her daughter-in-law Amy Varnado of Lumberton, TX; her daughter Kelley; and her son-in-law Roger Young of Mobile Alabama. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; twenty eight great grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.
