She was predeceased by: her parents, Franklin Dees and Hattie Dees (Lovelady); her husband Bruce Modisette; her son Wilton Modisette; her brother Riley Dees; her sister-in-law Etta Dees; her nephew Frankie Thompson; and her niece Scooter Richards.
She is survived by: her son Charles; her daughters-in-law, Linda Modisette of Pollok and Sue Modisette of Pollok; her grandchildren, Julie Williams (David), Jaime Allen (John), Natalie Ramirez (Matt) and Cassidy Stillwell; her great grandchildren, Logan Ramirez, Charlie Stillwell and Jack Stillwell; her sister Lois Thompson of Pollok; her friend Jeffie Oliver of Lufkin; and her nephews, Bobby Thompson (Jana), Timothy Dees and Wayne Dees. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
