He was predeceased by: his parents, Mattie Mae (Kellum) and Thomas Edward Vann; and his siblings, Sandra Tatum, Kenneth and Larry Vann.

He is survived by: his sons, Rodney (Patricia Vann), Tracey (Robin Vann) and Stacey (Christi Vann); his stepson Chris (Beth Due) of Pollok; his grandchildren, Whitney Vann, Morgan Looney, Jentry Cowdin, Seth, Taylor, Tara Due, Kenzie Bridges, Harliey Womack and Tanner Glover; his great grandchildren, Jase Guerrero, Lynden Wilson, Avery Looney and Sunny Due; his brothers, Jimmy Ted Vann of Lufkin and Steven; and his sister-in-law Lisa Vann of Pollok.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Vann's memory may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 W. Frank Avenue, Lufkin, TX 75901.
