He was predeceased by: his parents, Woody Douthitt and Linnie Douthitt; his wife Betty Douthitt; and his son Jessie Lee. He is survived by: his daughters, Glenda Emerson of Point and Sharon Wooley (Orville) of Rhome; his brother Odie Oneil (Joan) of New Jersey; his sister-in-law Vera Taylor of Arlington; and his grandchildren, Michael Douthitt, Daniel Douthitt, Angelina Aaron, Jeffrey Petty, Staci Petty, Michelle Henderson, Lori Emerson, Linsey Emerson and Diane Douthitt. He is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and friends.
