He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Shephard; and his sister Evelyn Clements. He is survived by: his son Ed Shephard (late Sharon); his girlfriend Lois Riley; his sister Betty Ritter; and his brother-in-law Anthony "Bud" Pyer (Merridy). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
