He was predeceased by: his parents, Ismael Salazar and Elena Salazar (Rodriguez); his wife Eloise Garcia Salazar; his sons, Adrian Salazar and Rosendo Salazar, Jr.; and his brothers, Joe Salazar, Erasmo Salazar and Isdel Salazar.

He is survived by: his sons, Ernest Salazar (Annette), Albert Salazar, Robert Salazar and Marty Salazar; his sister Eloisa Lambaria; and his grandchildren, Dylan Salazar, Alyssa Salazar and Kaylee Salazar.
