He is survived by: his wife Alma R. Guzman; his children, John I. Guzman (April), Sonya A. Turner (Joseph), Darlene Clay (Paul) and Debra Y. Sandoval (Jose); his siblings, Gilbert Sandoval, Edward Sandoval, Richard Sandoval (Irene), Teresa Olvera (Oscar) and Esmeralda Sandoval; his grandchildren, Jalen, Joshua, Nicolas II (Destiny), Agustin (Emily), Gregorie, Theron (Mariana), Jaclyn, Joseph (Aalyiah), Seth (Gabriella) and Krislyn; his great grandchildren, Jaden, Jaziah, Juan, Javier, Jayce, Cailie, Cole and Josiah; his stepgrandchildren, Selina (Mikie), Joe, Lexi, Victoria, Elizabeth, William and Levi; and his siblings-in-law, Sandra De La Rosa (John), Gonzalo Mata Sr., Henry Flores (Daisy) and Hector Flores. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
