He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Swift and Agnes Swift; his wife Maxine Swift; his son Michael Lee Swift (Stillman); and his siblings, Donald, Floyd Swift, Alberta "Teennie" Langloss, Elizabeth Hodges, Betty DeFellippie, Ruby Swift, Thelma Brassea, Mary Jane Swift and Delphia Swift.

He is survived by: his children, Filbert Swift Jr. (Lorraine) and Laura Swift Ellis (Cory Sochovka); his daughter-in-law Cecilia Stillman (Swift); his children, Deborah Holcomb, Gilbert Martinez and Sue Morales; his brother Lawrence "Barney" Swift (Judy); his grandchildren, LaRae Esquibel (Andrew), Janell Arellano, Mathew Swift (Alisha), Ryan Swift, Ashley Swift, Sarah Swift (Daniel), Zoey Swift, Leo Swift, Michael Stillman (Samantha), Ariel Brown (Warren), Jane Domingo, Noah Stillman, Lori Stillman, Bradley Swift-Ellis, Cassandra Ellis and Kami Harmon; and his great grandchildren, Xzavier Esquibel, Audriana, DeShawn Goshay, Lilyann, Franklin, Novalee Swift, Elisia Reyes, Michael Edward Stillman Jr., Rowdy and Raul Rodriguez. He is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
