The passing of Kay McKinney of Plantersville, Texas, born in Carnegie, Oklahoma leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on October 28, 2024 at the age of 89. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arvin Haul York and Veva Pauline York (Miller); her husband Roy D. McKinney; and her daughter Sandra K. Abernathy. She is survived by: her children, Rick Hale (Susan), Larry Martin (Amanda), Patsy Day (Roy) and Nancy Wooley (Marvin). She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nobles Funeral Chapel (402 Blackshear St, Navasota, TX 77868). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 11:45 AM at the Plantersville Cemetery.
