He is survived by: his children, Belinda, Teresa and John (Courtney); his grandchildren, Amanda Mayfield, Justin Phillips, Tyler Swonke, Austin Swonke, Madison Swonke, Jordan Swonke and Mason Swonke; his great grandchildren, Kallie Mayfield, Kaden Mayfield and June Phillips; his sister Jeanette Matthews; and his sisters-in-law, Louise Swonke and Dorothy Swonke.
In lieu of usual remembrances the family suggests donations to a favorite charity that supports veterans.
