John Marcus Connally Jr. Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Marcus Connally Jr. of Plano, Texas, born in Manchester, Georgia, who passed away on December 25, 2020 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie and John Connally Sr.; his wife Erna Connally; and his siblings, Butch Connally, Betty Jo Smith and Jean Connally.

He is survived by: his children, Jaelyn Connally Whorton (Brad) and Cooper; his former spouses, Kelle Connally Horie of Plano and Katie Guthrie (Dan) of Dallas, Texas; and his siblings, Peggy Piper of Georgia and Bo Connally of Puerto Rico. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation to the Seekers Class: Erna Connally Scholarship Fund at Custer Road United Methodist Church or to the Griffin High School Football Scholarship.
