He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Howell and Julia Nella Brooks (Somerford); and his sisters, Carolyn Whitson and Marinell Traylor. He is survived by: his wife Carol Brooks; his children, David Brooks and Anne Brooks Bryant (Jeff); his nieces and nephews, Charlie Whitson (Linda), Clayton Traylor (Pam), Holly Traylor and Laura Forsythe (Brad); and his cousin Carlos Malaga (Carmen).
A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Allen Family Funeral (2112 W Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, TX 75023).
