He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Carl and Lena Faye Bertelson (McGaugh); his brother Ronnie; and his great grandchild Madeline Genevieve Brotherton. He is survived by: his wife Judy; his sisters, Jane Wherritt (Phil) and Dee Ann Hays (Jim); his sister-in-law Donice Hays (Kim); his nephews, Lee Bertelson (Rebecca), Jeffrey Wright and Coy Wright (Tessa); his niece Manda Rosser (Wynn); his stepdaughter Robin Brotherton (Ricky); his grandchildren, Rebecca Brotherton, Ethan Brotherton (Neely), Cathy Ferguson (Damon) and Garrett Ferguson; his great grandchild Camden Brotherton; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Katelyn, Emma Bertelson, Reagan Redding, Aubrey Rosser (Emerson), Mae Wright, Cotton and Leland Rosser.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel (3605 SW 3rd, Plainview, TX 79072). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
