He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Garza and Juanita Garza; his wife Guadalupe Baca; his siblings, Manuel Garza, Jr., Virginia Garza Delgado and Seferina Garza Saenz; and his grandson Joshua Ryan Garza.
He is survived by: his sons, Sam Garza, Jr. (Sandra) of Plainview and Jerry Garza (Gail) of Santa Fe; his stepchildren, Raymundo Baca of Sacramento, Gloria Olvera (Martin) of Hale Center and Dora Baca of Hale Center; and his siblings, Isaac Garza and Paulin Guerra. He is also survived by twenty five grandchildren, many great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
