We are sad to announce that on November 5, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Robert William Matthews of Plainview, Texas. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Matthews and Lillie Matthews; his wife Mauriene Smithson Matthews; and his sisters, Arlene Jones and Gladys Griffith.
He is survived by: his daughter Robin Matthews of Lubbock, Texas; and his sister Rosalee King of San Angelo. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Robert enjoyed dancing and was involved in several dance groups. (until covid, then just 1 group started back after, but he didn't miss) (didn't learn to dance until after retiring).
Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Mauriene Smithson Matthews Endowed Scholarship. (for Flying Queens only).
