He is survived by: his wife Billie JoAnn Ortiz; his children, Wendy Ortiz, Konny Kibbey, Richard Paul Ortiz, Ted Thompson, Michael Thompson and Mark Thompson; and his brother Tom Ortiz. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
