He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Ware and Essie Ware; his brother Ronnie Ware; his parents-in-law, J. C. Colvin and Mary Lynn Lewis; and his siblings-in-law, James Colvin, Jerry Cox and Pam Lewis.

He is survived by: his wife JoBeth Ware; his children, Jeremy Ware (Beth) and Tiffani Niell (Coby); his grandchildren, Jameson Ware, Halston Ware, Kenzli Blackburn, Caleb Niell and Caysen Niell; his siblings, James Ware (Lynette), David Ware (Libby) and Gail Cox; and his father-in-law Jimmy Lewis.
