He was predeceased by: his parents, Louie Melcher and Iris Melcher (Cloninger); his grandson Barrett Bohn; and his brother Larry Melcher. He is survived by: his wife Deb Melcher of Plainview; his son Wes Melcher; his grandchild Jianna Melcher of Prosper, TX; his child Russell Melcher (Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Blakely, Slaton Melcher and Kaci Bohn (Lee); his children, Brogan of Canyon, TX, Asher of Canyon, TX and Kason Bohn of Canyon, TX; and his brothers, Ken Melcher and Joe Melcher (Glenn). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the First Baptist Church - Plainview (205 W 8th St, Plainview, TX 79072). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Englewood Cemetery (1100 N 20th St, Slaton, TX 79364). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Harral Auditorium Wayland Baptist University (1900 W 7th, Plainview, TX 79072).
