With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Filiberto Cordero of Plainview, Texas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Cordero and Consuelo Castañon; his wife Maria Lucio Cordero; his children, Lupe Cordero and Maria De Jesus Cordero; his granddaughters, Sarah Cordero and Monica Cordero; and his siblings, Raul, Jose, Rafael Cordero, Engracia Hernandez and Belia Ortiz.
He is survived by: his children, Luis Cordero of Abilene, Raul Cordero (Adriana) of Mexico, Lorenzo Cordero (Patricia) of Plainview, Phil Cordero, Jr. (Angelica) of Plainview, Juan Cordero (Tina) of Plainview, Manuel Cordero (Lori) of Plainview, Rosario Mendoza (Jose) of Plainview, Juana Cordero of Abilene, Veronica Madrigal (Steve) of Plainview and Crystal Cordero (Nancy) of Plainview; and his siblings, Casiano Cordero of Plainview, Juan Manuel Reyes of San Antonio, Bertha Rivera of Plainview and Carla Cordero of Albuquerque, NM. He is also survived by forty three grandchildren, seventy-two great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lemons Memorial Chapel (206 W 8th St, Plainview, TX 79072). A rosary was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (211 W 7th, Plainview, TX 79072).
