He is survived by: his wife Rosalind Cookston; his children, Sue Stoker and Joe Cookston; his grandchildren, Nicklyn Bray, Deidra Newberry (Adam), DeAndra Long, Dondi Long and Eric Ward; his great grandchildren, Joshua Long and Madison Newberry; and his great great grandchild Banks Bain.
