She was predeceased by: her parents, William Eddie and Gertrude Lavake Woodard; her husband Charlie N. Cates; and her brother Bill Woodard. She is survived by: her sons, Charles Cates (Tasey) of Pittsburg, Larry Cates (Brenda) of Sanger and Barry Cates of Longview; her grandchildren, Wade Cates (Maria), Cassana Herring (Ryan) and Chelsea Lee (Justin); and her great grandchildren, Sebastian, Braxton, Camila, Kyler, Elijah, Emma, Ezra and Truitt. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
