She was predeceased by: her parents, R. E. McGowan and Beth Blakeley McGowan; her parents-in-law, Bob and Mozelle Proffitt; her sister Cindy Proffitt Schuff; and her nephew Jordan Renfro.
She is survived by: her husband Gary Allen Proffitt of Pittsburg; her son Jake; her daughter-in-law Misty Proffitt of Pittsburg; her grandchildren, Kaden (Ardyn), Kenley, Dakota (Dallas) and Drake; and her siblings, Edward (Joyce McGowan), Ricky McGowan of Bridgeport, Craig Schuff of Springtown and Jana Proffitt Rogers (Charles) of Wills Point.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to South Jefferson Baptist Church.
