She was predeceased by: her parents, John Edward Hines and Julia Cornelia Wilson Hines; her husband Bela Fred Oden; her foster daughter Sharon Christine Powell; and her brother Glenn Edward Hines.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Bela Fred Oden, III, K. C. Oden, Freda Oden Kimmey (Cookie) of Harrison and Becky Lyn McCully; and her nephew Grady Ray Hines of Pineland. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
At the family's request, donations can be made in Lois' memory to First Baptist Church in Pineland or the American Cancer Society in Lufkin, Texas.
