With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dan Ray Gist Sr. of Pilot Point, Texas, who passed away on January 17, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Basil Sweeny and Marinell Gist (Gentry); his wife Virginia Gist; and his brother Jack Lee Gist. He is survived by: his children, Dan (Kelly Gist) of Spearman, TX, Rae Lynn Sutsch (Rick) of Tyler, TX., Penny Jones of Pilot Point, TX and Michele Davis (Paul) of Celina, TX; his nephew Greg Gist of South Lake, TX; and his niece Gina Sawyer of Aledo, TX.. He is also survived by Seventeen grandchildren; Fourteen great-grandchildren.
