He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Chebuhar and Mary Chebuhar (Swab); his half-brother Ivan Chebuhar; his siblings-in-law, Carl and Hazel Seiberling; and his stepdaughter Melinda Farnsworth.

He is survived by: his wife Carlene of Pharr, Texas; his son Ken (Carol) of Urbandale; his granddaughters, Kelsey and Megan Chebuhar; his son Robert Galbraith (Amy) of Terre Haute; his grandchildren, Alanna and Blaise Galbraith; his stepchildren, Mary Tromblee (Kelly) of Waynesville and Robert Thompson (Brenda) of Waynesville; his grandchildren, Jacob, Abigail Tromblee of Missouri and Logan Thompson of Urbandale; his nephew Davorin Chebuhar (Croatia) of Rijeka; his niece Sladana Bolf (Croatia) of Fuzine; his brother-in-law Steve Seiberling; and his brothers, Bob Bubon, Denny Roff, Jimmie Campbell of Des Moines, Phil Bush of Mesa and Peter Merigis of Kentucky. He is also survived by other friends and family.
