He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dionicio Cruz and Felipa Garza; his wife Maria Berta Cruz; and his daughters, Sylvia Cruz, Mary Lou Salazar (Roger), Gracie Rodriguez (Julian), Cynthia Acevedo (Rudy), Brenda Balderaz (Luis) and Irene Sanchez (Amadeo). He was also cherished by his 15 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren.
