He was predeceased by: his parents, Ramon Serna and Refugia Serna; and his son Juan Serna, Jr. (Diana). He is survived by: his wife Olivia Serna; his children, Hilda Hernandez (Guadalupe) of Bay City, Laly Hernandez (Victor) of San Juan, Sylvia Dimas of McAllen, Melinda Villarreal (Richard) of Pharr, Gloria Fleming (Mike) of Chandler and Jaime Serna of Pharr; and his sister Raquel Flores of Mount Prospect, Illinois.. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren.
