He was predeceased by: his parents, Magin Rivas and Consuelo Rivas; and his daughter Frances Rivas Smith. He is survived by: his wife Maria Rivas; and his children, Leticia McEmeel (Mike), Alonso Rivas Jr. (Andrea), Sonia Rivas Rodriquez and Magin Rivas (Lourdes). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; many more family and friends.
