She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Katherine Johnson Giles and David Giles; her husband Keith; her siblings, Naceo (Inge), Ben Giles (Odessa) and Aziza Braithwaite-Bey (Robert); her daughters, Elena Braithwaite-Williams (Marty), Lisa Braithwaite-Peavy and Kimberly Ramsey (Ronald "EJ"); her grandchildren, Roderick, Trevor, Kurron, Kole, Keith Delton and Kai; and her son Keith David Braithwaite.
She was a Board Member for the Austin Cancer Society, a top fundraiser for Relay for Life, and participated in various breast cancer walks to raise awareness and donations.
