He was predeceased by: his parents, Dionicio Contreras and Severa Contreras; his siblings, Cleto, Vincent, Jesse, Julio, Don, Rosa, Georgia, Lupe, Gloria and Josie; and his son Joe Anthony.
He is survived by: his wife Lydia; his children, Crystal Severa Jaimes (Robert) and Anthony James Contreras; his brother Valentino (Mary Ann); his parents-in-law, Joe and Nellie Alcantar; his grandchildren, Audrie, Eli, Alyssa, Adrianna, Alexia, Tammy, Halee and Andrew; and his nephews, Michael Ochoa, Arnold Gonzalez, John Pesina and Christopher Contreras. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law.
