He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Laan and Jeanette Vander Laan; his wife Marilyn Kay Vander Laan; and his daughter Margo Jeanette Rice. He is survived by: his children, Greg (Glenda), Rodney (Melinda) and D'Ann; and his grandchildren, Chris Vander Laan, Ryan Vander Laan (Jen), Mary Hegel (Mike), Clint Rice (Kristen), Lenae Beran (Dwayne), Lauren Henkes (Brandon) and Haley Love (Brannan).
