She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Wieland and Clara Eulenfeld Wieland; her siblings, Carol Ann and Roland; and her daughter Bunny.

She is survived by: her husband Rodger Schmitt; her children, B. Carol Glenn McLean (Gary), Patricia Glenn Foster (Tom), Tracy Werdenberg (William) and Tamara Schmitt (Wayne); and her sisters, Judy Pfeil (Stanley) and Pamela Hebbe (Lloyd). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
