She was predeceased by: her parents, Ewell Simpson and Thelma Simpson; her husband Ray Burklund of Creedmoor; and her siblings-in-law, Nancy Burklund, Gladys Wende and Price T. Wende.
She is survived by: her children, Bobby Burklund (Kim) and Glenda Bearden (Mark) of Creedmoor; and her brother-in-law Earl Burklund. She is also survived by several cousins, one niece, and five nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made on Barbara's behalf to Hays Hills Baptist Church in Buda, Capital Area Food Bank, or the charity of your choice.
