He is survived by: his mother Margarita Maldonado; his daughters, Frances Zapata (Michael) of Pettus, Ruby Moncada (Joe) of San Antonio and Mary Jane Maldonado of San Antonio; and his brother Rudy Maldonado Jr. of San Antonio. He is also survived by five sisters; one brother.
