He was predeceased by: his father Reed Swift; his siblings, John Swift, Donald Swift, Gerald Swift and Beverly Stracener; his daughter Jeanette Swift; and his granddaughter Laura Swift.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Stryker; his children, Richard Swift (Sue) of Monmouth Illinois, Jim Swift (Anita) of Springfield Missouri, Rebekah Pruett (Jody), Darrel Swift (Jan) and Paul Swift of Petrolia Texas; and his brother George Swift. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren.
