It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James William Houchin of Petersburg, Texas, born in Cooper, Texas, who passed away on April 7, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Oscar Samuel Houchin; and his siblings, Sam, Danley, Waylon, Lois and Mary.

He is survived by: his wife Sally; his son Don; and his daughter-in-law Dena Houchin (Houston). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

An untimely bout of Covid prevented him from attending the ceremony in person.
