With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Erlinda Marquez (Petersburg, Texas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 6, 2025 at the age of 68. She was predeceased by: her husband David P. Marquez, Sr.; her parents, Martina Juarez (Isaac Juarez) and Isaac Juarez Sr.; and her brothers, John and Isaac Jr. Juarez.
She is survived by: her children, David Marquez (Angelica) of Crosbyton, Rudy Marquez (Melissa) of Lubbock and Debbie Shellman (Patrick) of Lubbock; her grandchildren, Eathan, Kiana, Santos, Kaden, Gavin, Dayln, Miah, Gracelyn, Peyton, Nikko and Gabby; and her sisters, Silvia Martinez (Louis) of Glen Heights, Mary Landin (Steve) of Carrollton, TX, Delma of Petersburg, Rosie Carrillo (David) of Lubbock and Becky (Hector) of Petersburg. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A rosary was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Guajardo Funeral Chapels (407 N University Ave, Lubbock, TX 79415). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (1000 W 5th St, Petersburg, TX 79250). A burial was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at the Petersburg Cemetery.
