He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Thomas and Nancy Ellen Thomas (Baker); his wife Norma Lee Barrett; his daughter Zelda Ellen; his siblings, Dorothy Faye Rogers, Roberta "Bo" Lanier, Mary Tiner and Robert Dick; and his grandsons, Jerry Ray and Charles Ray Hall.
He is survived by: his children, Pat Ellis of Perryton, Norma Dean Hall of Mooreland, OK., Vernie Ray Thomas, Jr. of Amarillo and Johnny Berk Thomas of Perryton; his brother Johnny "Junior" Thomas of Pontotoc, OK; and his grandchildren, Kim (Frank Toms), Stacy (Jim Mosely), Carrie (Tim Olivarez), Tammy (David Douglas), Sharon (Birchie Stillwagoner), Malissa (Kimmy Thomas), Cathy (Ira Smith), Ashley (Steve Gipson), Chance, Evita Thomas and Twenty. He is also survived by Twenty-three great- grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
The Family suggests memorials be sent in his name to the Ranger Academic Enrichment Foundation or ones favorite charity.
