It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ramon Vela Jr. (Perryton, Texas), born in Rio Grande City, Texas, who passed away on May 5, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ramon and Barbarita Vela Sr. (Lara); his daughter Elizabeth; and his great grandchild Tulio. He is survived by: his wife Christina Garza; his children, Roy Vela of Perryton, Noon Vela of Perryton, Jose Vela of San Antonio, Rafael Vela of Lubbock and Raquel Vela of Perryton; his grandchildren, Kynleigh, Morgyn, Kason, Mallee, Novy, Merek, Calun, Alexa, Dacee, Maverick, Selah, Miranda, Valerie, Skylar and Jessica; and his siblings, Calistro Vela of Spearman and Josie De La Rosa of LaCasita.
Due to the COVID 19 current health and government regulations for small gatherings, there will be a private family service at 10:00 am Thursday, May 7, 2020 at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Perryton with Rev. Mark Metzger officiating.
