He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Chavez, Sr. and Maria Tarango. He is survived by: his children, Emmanuel Chavez of Perryton, Isiah Chavez of San Antonio, Texas, Alexis Chavez of California and Kentra Lamb of San Antonio, Texas; and his brother Rene Chavez.
