“I worked with Joe at the Perryton Post Office in the late 1960’s. I always admired Joe’s laughter and his “back and forth” with his fellow carriers early in the morning, of course never stopping to sort the first mail of the day. For whatever reason, today I thought of Joe. I’m sorry to see he’s passed.away. He taught me a lesson - someone can have a regular, routine, same old job and still enjoy each day, because each day can be different. Warmest wishes to Joe’s family. Larry Jines, Houston”
