He was predeceased by: his parents, Ubaldo Olivarez and Herlinda Olivarez; his wife Mary; and his siblings, Rosa Arredondo and Walter Olivarez, Jr..
He is survived by: his sons, Fidel Olivarez, Jr. (Heidi), Tomas Olivarez of Sunray and Tim Olivarez (Carrie) of Perryton; and his sister Sally Ortiz of Dalhart. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home (310 SE 30th Ave, Perryton, TX 79070). A rosary was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Fairview Cemetery (1500 Duncan St, Pampa, TX 79065).
